Wrap Care Guide

Simple care keeps your wrap looking new for years. Here’s how to wash it, what to avoid, and when to call us.

How to Wash Your Wrap

  • Hand wash is best. Use a mild automotive soap, a soft wash mitt, and plenty of water.
  • Rinse first. Hose off loose dirt before touching the surface — grit is what scratches.
  • Wash top to bottom in straight lines, rinsing the mitt often.
  • Dry with microfiber. A clean microfiber towel or air blower prevents water spots.
  • Wash every 1–2 weeks in normal use — more often in winter or dusty conditions.

What to Avoid

  • Brush car washes. Automatic washes with brushes can lift edges and scratch the film.
  • Pressure washers up close. Keep the nozzle at least 12 inches away and never aim at edges or seams.
  • Harsh chemicals. No solvents, oven cleaners, or abrasive compounds on the wrap.
  • Petroleum-based wax. Use only wrap-safe sealants — regular carnauba wax can stain matte finishes.
  • Scraping ice. Use a soft brush on wrapped areas; never a metal scraper.
  •

Long-Term Care Tips

  • Park smart. Shade or a garage slows UV fading more than anything else.
  • Clean contaminants fast. Bird droppings, tree sap, and road tar should come off within a day or two.
  • Spot-clean between washes with a damp microfiber and mild soap.
  • Watch the edges. If you ever see lifting, bring it in — small fixes stay small when caught early.
